Some four hours drive (and a ferry ride) from Vancouver, the Comox Valley certainly deserves its name, "A Place with Plenty." With the mountains to the west and the oceans to the east, this is the most romantic place you can go for the weekend.

Keep your romantic juices flowing in the varied activities you can have together. The Comox Harbour will give you the best salmon fishing. Stroll along the dock or be more adventurous and watch a rich display of underwater life; by scuba diving. The winters here offer skiing in the morning and golfing in the afternoon. In summer, hiking, biking, and horseback riding opportunities make your weekend different from your urban days.

Catch a glimpse of the Comox Glacier, or simply walk hand-in-hand in the numerous waterfront gardens or beaches in the Comox. You can run from the sea to the mountains in minutes, and if climbing heights tire you physically, take a mountain chair lift and enjoy the lofty view up there.

Visit the Town Square or Public Market to see the local specialties or groove together at the hip nightclubs in town; whatever you do, a day in Granville Island is always fun.
