Are You The Woman That Men Are Looking For?
" What is it that they are searching for in a woman? "Women are the most exotic of God's creations, in terms of not only looks, but also their overall personality. Many women believe, and rightly so, that drop dead good looks and a perfect ten figure is what all men want. While this may not be strictly wrong-it isn't right either. The first time a man lays eyes on a woman, make no mistake about it, he is mentally undressing her. How is it then, while some women manage to find happy relationships, others go through men like a box of tissues? What makes men's heads turn for a second glance? What is it that they are searching for in a woman? We may not have all the answers but here are some cardinal truths.
When a man sees a woman for the first time, he is attracted by the way she looks, her face, the shape of her body and the way she carries herself. While not all of us look like Heidi Klum or Marilyn Monroe, we can make the best of what nature has given. Grooming is the key word here. Take care of yourself and pay attention to your clothes. Choose them according to your body shape; carefully select your accessories and your make up. When you look good, you feel good too. Desirable body shapes change with time, but a figure that is proportionate is always appealing. Don't work out to gain a man's attention; do it to stay fit. Nothing makes a woman look more beautiful than the confidence she feels when she knows she looks her best.
A Life of Your Own
Men look for women who have a life of their own and who don't base their existence on the presence of a man in their lives. Women that take good care of themselves and know what they want, catch a man's attention. Needy and overly dependent women are a total turn-off. Live your life on your own terms and do not wait for a man to make you happy. Go out river rafting with friends if that is what you want to do. Women often make the mistake of putting their life on hold until they find a man, and that scares the hell out of the opposite sex. Men want their own space and independence.
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? Maybe not.
A man will always prefer a woman with her own views and ideas and one who is well read. That doesn't mean you should quote Nietzsche on your first date - a woman who is more intelligent than him might scare a man-as a lion scares a gazelle. A man wants a woman he is comfortable with enough to share his fears and aspirations, a woman who can discuss everything under the sun without having to explain himself repeatedly.
Hi - Fidelity
A faithful partner is as important to men as it is to women. Despite the macho exterior, men have fragile egos that are easily broken when a woman's attention and affection flits to another.
The Right Moves
As chauvinistic as it may sound, men don't want women to make the first move. They like to know that they are in control of the pace of the relationship and do not like to be pushed. So take it easy and let time take its course. In addition, don't come on too strong at the beginning of a relationship. Avoid public gestures of affection until you are sure that you have moved to a higher level of intimacy. Men do not like to feel pressured into doing or saying things, especially when it comes to commitment and intimacy issues.
Eye for Detail
Men want to be cared for and they appreciate considerate and caring gestures. They like it when their girlfriend listens to them and remembers small things, such as his favorite movie, what he likes to eat, and activities he enjoys. Surprise him with tickets to see his favourite team play, or cook his steak just the way he likes it. For a man, actions do speak louder than words.
A Supportive Partner
A man wants a woman who stands by him in public, laughs at his jokes even though she has heard them for the zillionth time, and basically, makes him feel good. The trick is, to know his likes and dislikes and show you care without being overbearing. Nagging and clinging will only drive a man away. So chill and be yourself, enjoy life, and let him want to be a part of the aura of happiness that surrounds you.
