Okay, so some of us have been through breakups. but we're all still alive, aren't we? I had some really bad ones in my day, but there's this wise old saying - "if it doesn't kill you, it makes you strong". Hasn't anyone found that we are stronger for such ordeals?

maybe you're still hurting from a recent breakup. I understand. but a time will come when you will learn from the mistakes of the past and end up in a really great relationship. take it from one who knows and has walked the path

No, it doesn't. As a popular hymn goes - it's hard to imagine the freedom we find from the things we leave behind. The crack seals with new and better experiences, and finally we are glad for every learning experience that led to final victory. There is no hurt in love that does not heal. That is a Hollywood myth.

It only makes us stronger, after the hurt goes away of course... We can learn from our mistakes, and it can also give us some perspective into what we want in a partner. Did you feel that your partner didn't give you enough affection, okay, so you've learned that you need a partner who can and will happily give you affection. People are different but it is always good to have an idea of what you want, that way perhaps you won't need to change for the person or vice versa.
