How easy is it to forgive someone who has hurt you more than anyone else in this world?

forgive! Why do that when I can continue torturing myself and keep reliving how disgusting I may be or how much of a bit… or chump he / she is! The more I keep them alive in my mind the more I can invalidate myself and keep buying into my own fantasies of inadequacy. So what if I enjoyed being with the person and think I never will find another or never want to and just keep hiding in work, bars, all the wrong places. Let me abuse myself some more… what is your pleasure, or pain? I get caught up in sadomasochistic cycles as much as the next person and that’s my right… if that’s what I want? Feel, find another, and fit my life to another… or do I want to find out more about what I enjoy, have options to, replace some of my habits that lower my concepts of me… nahhhhhhh!

Found this, Hope this helps........
"When you let go of things, They let go of you"
When you harbor resentment, anger or bitterness, the person you end up harming the most is YOURSELF.
Negitive emotions have a way of creating negative energy that destroys positive emotions like generosity, love and joy.
Although the unhappy situation may be long gone, you may be allowing it to hold you back by holding on to the feelings it evoked.
TODAY, Vow to start "cleaning out" that inner vault of negativism. Try to forgive those who've caused you previous pain, and if you can't do that, at least learn to FORGET!!!!!!!
BREAK FREE, LET GO, MOVE FORWARD with OPTIMISM and you'll find TRUE HAPPINESS.

Well Thanks reading that really helped me alot. I have found myself holding on for the pass 8 mos now......He ask me to marry him on new years and then drop from the face of the earth in two weeks no emails no phone calls. every now and then I would get a reply saying he was just busy with work and don't think the worst he still love me much and nothing has changed. then he was out have not heard any thing in 8 mos I find myself emailing and still call needing to know why just tell me somthing so I can move on. I meet him on this site some of the ladys may have passed his profile saying I have found my sunshine fredlaina thanks to eromance. It really dosn't add up we were doing so well and I mean well we had never falling out or gotten up set with one another. I am in the us and he in London but x-mas time last year I was on a plane on my way to london. Due to bad weather Guess what I didn't make it until after.....I really can't seem to let go until I know y.
