doctors KNOW you can get PSYCHOSIS from sleep loss, but rarely VOLUNTEER the info unless ASKED.
PSYCHOSIS includes these symptoms: hallucinations, hearing "voices" in your head", following "commands" these mental voices give, believing things that are FALSE, paranoia, fears, memory loss, false memories, believing the "voices in your head" are REAL people, total loss of judgement, cant make decisions, etc.
if you're ALREADY losing sleep (like staying out late with friends), & then you get SICK when this "PSYCHOSIS" has set in, you may be TOO WIPED OUT MENTALLY to have the sense to get MEDICAL HELP & can DIE as a result!
no kidding- THIS HAPPENED TO ME. i was ALREADY losing sleep (staying up late studying), then i got PSYCHOSIS, so when i began to BLEED from uterus tumors, i DIDNT EVEN CONSIDER seeing a doctor- i sat there & bled FOR WEEKS! i lost so much blood that it NEARLY KILLED me! (ALL BECAUSE THE PSYCHOSIS *MADE* ME ACT THAT WAY-i normally wouldnt have done that!!). worse yet, the PSYCHOSIS *wiped out my memory* of my SYMPTOMS so i couldnt tell a doctor ANYTHING!!
i suggest: dont lose sleep, because if you get PSYCHOSIS & need medical help AT THAT TIME, you may be TOO IMPAIRED to even HELP YOURSELF!!
wild, isnt it?!! happens to MANY people though.
