Hi Niloc,
There are many girls from Asia who are looking for marriage. A few things to keep in mind:
1. Dating - In some Asian cultures they do not "date" in the way we do in Western culture. Some in Korea, China etc for example actually place a lot of pressure on women to marry quickly and to minimize dating interactions.
2. Green Card - honestly, yes this can be a concern and something you should consider if you are interested in someone who contacts you about marriage.
3. Scammers - from what I have seen, the girls seeking from Asia marriage arent usually the scammers. The scammers typically have some ties to Northwest Africa (AKA Nigeria) or some other Muslim country (not sure why?). They often refer to the Bible and seek out Christians as if to disarm people and to seek those who are going to be less suspicious. And they'll eventually ask you for money for a plane ticket to come visit - BIG RED FLAG.
Please note - I/eRomance use several layers of automated filters to minimize the scammers but they do occassionally get through. If you run into one of those, please let me know so I can review the profile. The marriage issue is different however and I urge people to consider the benefits and risks for themselves in that regard; that is not something I am looking to filter out of the community.
Good luck to everyone!
Neal
