I sometimes feel it's easier to talk to strangers. It allows you to start afresh.

I feel sometimes it is not so easy to talk to people you don't know at first but then after you get to know each other its pretty much easy to chat. I like getting to know people and what better place than here to meet people, especially for those who ARE lonely. This is a good starting place.

Yeah. I guess it is a little easier to say what you're really thinking and not have to worry about social repurcussions. Still, I do worry if people are really who they say they are. Its hard to go beyond the superficial with that sort of doubt.

I enjoy shocking people with my openess, I am a natural born conversationalist. Talking to others you don't know can occur anywhere, if you want or need to talk.

Being open to a stranger can go both ways. Sometimes a person can give too much information to a person in which it could scare them away. On the other hand, you have to be really carefull on talking to strangers on the net. You really don't know if whom they are is true or not. Then, with all the scams you have to be very leary. It's really a catch 22 situation. I have talked to a few people on the net. I'm a recent widow. It is really hard to let your heart lead the way especially when you are trying to find someone to fill that emptiness that you have been handed to willing or not. So, talking to strangers.....be very precautious on what you let the person know or not. Especially if it is a scam.

You must be careful. But dating sites are an incredible way for us all to meet people that we would never meet in the regular course of life.
If you are unable to spell, please write your messages and profile info on a word processing program, and then remember to use the spell check. You can always copy and paste to get your words where you want them to go. AND DON'T WRITE EVERYTHING IN CAPITALS (AS IF YOU WERE SHOUTING!), or in that awful computer-speak. It's fine for text messages and IMs, but ur jst mking urself look sily and desperite if u dnt chek wht u actully siad. No one can be in that much of a hurry (unless they are married and trying to hide from the spouse - and the rest of us).
Please use common sense - don't give out your personal information until you are sure. Meet at a very public place, and don't be afraid to check up - the Internet is a wonderful place to check someone else's personal information!
You are making a first impression here - no one will want to meet you in person if they already believe you are a slob. If you don't care about yourself, no one is going to want to meet you. You are special - let your potential matches know that!
