| Romance For A Pig (1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983) |
|
This dear, warm-hearted, generous creature is considered in Chinese culture as one with elegant, refined tastes. Pigs are persons of honor, good manners, and good taste. Her home displays works of art, her table is well laid and well appointed, and her friends are up-market, her shoes custom-made, and the stones on her ring glitter marvelously; you get the idea. With her riches, opulence, and wealth, the Pig believes everyone is like her. She tries her best to keep everyone around her happy. Smiles, cheer, and happiness; it is all part of the good life.
The time spent on soaking in suds, getting her hair and nails done, reading books (or surfing the Net) may make her appear lazy. Nevertheless, she is highly intelligent and can be an academician, beauty-salon owner, model or in Public Relations. Sadly, this unsuspecting, softhearted, nice-and-gentle soul is often taken advantage of. The Pig will not retaliate because most of the time either she doesn't know how to or doesn't want to. She will not believe anyone would want to be mean, underhanded, or deliberately rude. It is rare, but not unheard of, for a Pig to become angry if double-crossed or let down.
She loves her home and will do anything to make it comfortable: luxurious, actually. She is a family person. Of course, her friends are from the upper strata, their children's schools are the best around, and their dinner events are the talk of the town. If you are a Rabbit or a Goat, the Pig is the one that will keep you happy ever after.
