| Romance For A Rooster (1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993) |
|
Utterly transparent, without malice, without an element of cheating, that is the Rooster. What he says is what he means is what he does. You can trust every syllable he utters. He is loyal, dependable, true, honorable, and honest. The Rooster expects the same qualities from those he meets. No hanky-panky, nor any double-speak. He will trust implicitly, provided he is not let down. He is straightforward and upright, but no fool. He won't be taken for a ride; he is too pragmatic for that. He reminds one of the old-school military types. To him, being courteous includes dressing nattily. Indeed, this is one sign that lives to look good.
He loves to be noticed, loves to take the trouble to get noticed, never mind the time and effort required. In fact, no matter what a Rooster does, it has to be perfect. The nitty-gritty of a job is important. (It is bad enough in matters of personal appearance, but he expects the kitchen and the bathroom to look picture perfect, too. Sigh.). The result must evoke gasps and compliments.
The Rooster thrives on praises, always well earned. The Rooster's companion must be prepared to live up to his expectations. The house must look just so, the surfaces must be dust-free, the cooking be done like a chef, and, of course, there should be neither sweat visible nor a hair out of place. Sounds impossible? Not if you are an Ox, a Dragon or a Snake. If you are one of those, the Rooster is your match.
