This former studio and portrait collection. put together by nineteenth-century sculptor Elisabet Ney. is believed to be one of the oldest museums in Texas. The collection includes Schopenhauer's grand philosophies. Stephen F. Austin's calm heroism. the bravery of Giuseppe Garibaldi. and the creative visions of King Ludwig II and his Bavarian castles. Couples of all ages can revisit the past via the experiences of Elisabet Ney and the portraits of eminent men and women that reflect their indomitable spirits.
