San Diego is an easy place for romance. There are plenty of places to go, no matter what kind of date you have in mind.

Coronado Hotel

San Diego is the perfect urban getaway, even for those who call it home. The laidback attitude and wonderful weather all-year round make this a perfect backdrop for a pair of lovers.

Take long walks along the many beaches in the city and surrounding areas or rent a sailboat at Mission Bay to spend a quiet morning together. The Spanish architecture of the Prado amidst Balboa Park's lush green lawns provides the perfect background for a quiet stroll on a golden afternoon. Of course, there's a lot more to do there- just pick a relaxing activity and Balboa Park is more than likely to provide you with an in-house venue for it.

Gaslamp District

If you really want to keep holding hands, ditch the car and hop onto one of San Diego's trolleys that cover almost all the main areas of the city. Catch a ball game at Qualcomm Stadium and then ride the trolley all the way to the Gaslamp quarter for a rocking night out.

For a special evening, you can pretend to be in Venice and snuggle up for a romantic gondola ride along the canals of the Coronado Cays. You can take along your own wine and sip it while nibbling on the appetizers served on board. You can also take other cruises along the Bay in the evenings and get a glittering view of the city's skyline while dining and dancing under the stars.

San Diego also has a number of excellent museums, theaters, and concert venues to satiate your hunger for the arts and culture. The city is especially vibrant in the spring and the fall when a number of music, art, and theater festivals are held in concert halls and in the verdant expanses of San Diego's many parks, gardens, and waterfront areas. Simply charming, don't you think?
