The J.N.Darling National Wildlife Refuge: A birdwatchers delight, this sanctuary occupies almost a third of the Sanibel Islands.
A perfect spot for romancing, the Sanibel Island Lighthouse. Built in 1884, the Lighthouse and its architecture reveal a very historic past.
Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum is another spot on the Sanibel Islands that will really make you wish for the weekend to never end.
The main theme of the exhibits in the museum is the fantastic display of shells and mollusks from all over the world. It is the only museum in the US to have such a display. Have fun trying to collect seashells on the seashore.
