Pampered at work
"oh, poor you", "does it still hurt?" etc are the kind of things my female colleagues have been saying to me. I like the fuss. It makes me feel important. Which man is going to say no to so much female attention? I'm going to ask the doctor is I can keep the plaster on longer than required. Don't want this to end.

Love Mail
I have this friend who sends us a mail full of love every year. That's what she calls it. Once every year all the people closest to her get that mail where she thanks us for being there for her and making her the person that she is. I think it's a wonderful thing to do. Makes me feel special as a friend.

Somethings you might want to know about me. I am a widow. I have a 16 yr old daughter. I have 4 cats, 2 dogs, and a ferrit.

5 years or 50,000 miles!!!
I have startedtelling my friends that I am gonna write a book. Whne they ask what about, I say life......How to lose a guy in 36 months or less. Seems as I said in my profile, no one really wants a long term relationship. They want all the fun of 'Falling in Love' and when the heat gets turned up in the wrong direction, WHOA!!!!! Not fun any more time to move on.
I love watching older couples who you just know have been together forever. He holds her arm ever so gently when she gets into or out of the car. She'll wipe the mustard off his chin when he gets into his once a month hotdog.(smile)
Oh yes if you can't tell by now I am a hopeless romantic. My dad has told me that I spoil men too much, so when I am either sick, or something doesn't get done just the way I always do it, the man acts out just like a child and pouts. Don't know how my dad knows this, for as far as I can remember he has never pouted, his story not moms.Guess it is easier to give advice then take it lol!
Well guess I'll add to this a little more at another time....it's 2 am and had nothing else to do:).......

Cold
I've got a nasty cold. My head is feeling stuffed, my eyes are watering and my mouth is dry. I went to work and felt miserable the whole day. I've taken medicines and had several cups of chicken soup but there's only temporary relief. It's frustrating to see that with so much advanced science around us, we still can't cure a common cold instantly.

Is meeting personally dead?
Well I would like to say first of all that I think that most of the people in america are not very open to meeting in person anymore. I believe that is because of the media. I do remember when people used to get together and mingle in hoping to find a date or significant other. It's a sad thing in todays society when people are afraid for no apparent reason to even travel or go on a date without having a list of things in their head about what they want and don't want. for instance if I don't like country music and you do, does that mean we are not compatible? If people were less anal about every little thing that goes on in the world, I believe the world would be a better place for all. I do think that the internet is a good place to actually find a person you might be interested in but, personal meetings have much more meaning.

Pedicure VS Head Massage
When I'm looking for ways to relax I always rely on my 2 tested options - pedicure or head massage. And right now I need to unwind because last night was hectic, and I can't make up my mind what to go for.
The best thing about pedicure is the soothing, cleansing feeling I get when my feet are soaked in hot water, scrubbed, massaged. I can spend that time reading or exchanging gossip (hee! hee!).
Head massage has a different feeling. My masseur's strong hands knead my head and I start feeling all light and stress free.

do you know, when you've been in an office for a long time, you find that colleagues really do become like family. they are brother, sister, confidante, whatever. i wonder if anyone else feels the same? It's a small town kind of sense of belonging. i guess boss is father/mother?

Unusual relationships
My flatmate and her boyfriend have flings with other people and they're ok with it as long as neither fall in love with the 'others'. Also, they don't talk about it with each other. I don't know if it's just me but I find this arrangement strange. Where's the committment if you're going to keep straying all the time?

New Flatmate
Ok, so I've finally found someone I can move in with. She's a media person and keeps very long hours. Got to know about her through a friend. Supposed to be a very serious career woman, has a boyfriend in Japan. Spends most of her holidays traveling with him. Can afford to pay the rent on time. And stays out of other people's business. My best friend's ex called a while ago. She'll be in town next week, wants to stay over at my place for a couple of days. When my friend and she were dating we got along real well so I can understand her calling me. But after she dumped my friend and moved on we haven't really been in touch and I think my friend's going to be very mad if I allow her to stay.

New to all of this!
I always said that I would never join one of these, but I have finally decided to go for it, what am I going to lose, right?! (Thank God there is no peanut gallery here!!) I am a 25 year old single girl that has done alot with my life. I have a degree in cognitive neuroscience from Mizzou (GO TIGERS!!) and was involved in the greek system (Alpha Phi wha wha!!), and am getting ready to go back for my masters. I have lived in France and speak the language fluently. I love children, though I dont have any of my own, but alot of nieces and nephews! I have 2 great dogs, Daisy Duke and Atticus Finch, and they are my world! I am looking for something more serious than just a buddy, though that doesnt mean that everyone on here looking for the same thing is compatible. I do have several tattoos, so if you dont like those....!! Worked for State Farm Insurance for several years, now I work at a VERY upscale restaurant while I pursue my masters. I love to spend time with my mom, she has breast cancer, and is doing really great! ONLY ONE ROUND OF CHEMO LEFT!! Its really wierd to be so honest on these things, but I figure if I am gonna go, I should go all out! I dont really watch much tv, though I do have a show or two. I am very traditional when it comes to dating in a few senses....have never asked a guy out, and definitely like to be wined and dined!

Kids

Unbelievable

Getting along
My flatmate and I are getting along pretty well and I'm hoping it stays that way. Generally, late at night, we sit in the kitchen and chat over a cup of tea. No heavy or deep stuff, just about what we did, saw or said. It's quite casual. Don't ask personal questions. I believe that if someone wants to share their problems with you, they will on their own. Slightly upset and disgusted
It is difficult to stomach some of the things that people are attempting to do here. While most are here for making genuine friends, I see some others who just poke fun at the serious ones.

Make Up
Some kids in my locality got together and threw a pop star party. I watched them, all dressed up in clothes way beyond their age. They had make up on, way more than I used. And they wore heels. Some how they didn't seem like children and that made me very sad.

4K on dinner
I can't beleive that I actually spend four big ones on a single dinner party last week. it was at Shepherd's Rest and I shouldn't be surprised but 4K?

Hobby
I'm going to pursue a new hobby to keep myself busy. There's lots to choose from but I still haven't made up my mind. I can go for art class or to learn yoga or maybe even origami. Plain Bored
