Don’t let the look of well-preserved elegance fool you. The Howard, located near Drummond Place, may have a lot of antique furniture and artwork but it has all the facilities – web-equipped TVs included – that are necessary for the modern traveler. The rooms overlooking the garden are the best in this hotel. The hotel is housed in a building that is very much at home with the rest of the classical architecture that gives the New Town of Edinburgh its special look and feel. There is a dedicated butler service and Floris toiletries are put out for guests’ use in the bathrooms. Some rooms even have Jacuzzis! If you want to treat your loved one to truly old-world-meets-the-new experience, then make sure that you book The Howard while you visit Edinburgh!
