The Viceroy Palm Springs was once the place to be in this town for Hollywood celebrities, when it was known as the Estrella. Besides the new name, nothing much has changed. The hotel underwent a renovation in 2002 to up its chic quotient. Guest rooms are of various sizes and have their own advantages, be it fireplaces, full kitchens, private balconies, or wet bars. There are also studio bungalows--a romantic escape from the modern world.
