1. Beach Bonanza
Doctors Cave Beach
Doctors Cave Beach
Aruba has the gift of some the most beautiful beaches in the world. A wonderful, romantic beach getaway is Baby Beach. It is located in Seroe Colorado at the southeastern end of the island. With long stretches of white sand with blue water, beautiful waves, and swaying palm trees, Baby Beach is a setting right out of a romance novel. The water is calm and shallow. This beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. You will see colorful fish of various hues and shapes and can even feed them. Though the facilities are basic, Baby Beach is a wonderful setting for a relaxing day by the beach.

2. Hip Strip
Gloucester Avenue
Gloucester Avenue
Mobay's endless bay-shore beauty has given Gloucester Avenue the nickname "Hip Strip." From here, buildings block the glorious seascape, but it can be viewed from Miranda Ridge. Music is all around. Calypso, soca, and the world famous reggae beat, spill out loudly to greet you from bars, hotels, roadside snack carts, and even shops!

Bustling and buzzing, tourists congregate here for the shops abound with colorful clothes, leather goods, beads, shells, and ceramic artifacts. Two popular shops are Smile Jamaica and Tropical Treasures. You can bargain with shop owners for apt souvenirs like, Bob Marley tees, caps, pipes, and pouches. There is a tiny Fantasy Craft Market off Doctor's Beach, where you can have your hair braided. The currency is Jamaican dollars, referred to as "jays," but keep in mind that, as a visitor, your price is nearly double what the locals are charged! Smile, offer half of the quoted price, or else move on.

3. Aquasol Theme Park
Aqua Sol Park
Aqua Sol Park
At the Walter Fletcher Beach, the Aquasol Theme Park affords maximum fun for both water and land sports. Together you can jet ski or snorkel, play basketball, tennis, or just hurtle around in a go-kart. Young tourists and local visitors frequent this beach for the wide sandy spaces, late night bar, and tasty seafood.

4. Downtown
Downtown Montego
Downtown Montego
Montego Bay has two parts, the plush resort areas and downtown, where the narrow, one-way streets house the local population. In Sam Sharpe Square, you can find a lively tropical fruit and vegetable market, a bronze statue of the national hero, and old history carved into architecture, like the jail, built in 1806, called "The Cage." The craft market sells attractive souvenirs cheaper than the shops on Gloucester Avenue, but buy and leave, as it is not advisable to stroll here.

5. Margaritaville
Margaritaville
Margaritaville
Margaritaville is a slightly garish and fabricated attempt at tourism. This open club has a dance floor and open bar for nighttime enjoyment. Though tacky, this is quite the happening place for youngsters and energetic tourists. Food and drinks are served on a platform over the sea, under which you can boat or swim. There is also a hot tub and a water slide that falls 110 feet down into the sea! Margaritaville is very popular for the fun element it provides.

6. West of Mobay
Mobay
Mobay
For an experience to remember, take a trip inland and hold hands in the cool, green hills. You will need transport to get here and you can go river rafting at Lethe Estate. Visit the small Reading Community Estate, but if it is birds you love, then visit the small village of Anchovy and feed sugar to the hummingbirds that will hover and sit on your finger.

The Rocklands Feeding Station is a natural aviary where you can see the long-tailed doctor bird - Jamaica's national bird, as well as over a hundred more species, such as cranes, egrets, orange quits, herons, warblers, and vervains.
